Madrasi Dahi Baray

For Baras:
White Lentils ½ kg
Garlic Paste 1 tsp
Cumin Powder 1 tsp
Baking Soda 1/3 tsp
Oil for frying
Salt as required

For Masala:
Button Red Chilies 5-6
Black Pepper 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds 1 tbsp
Black Salt ½ tsp
Salt to taste
For Green Chutney
Tamarind Pulp ½ cup
Mint Leaves 1 Bunch
Green Chilies 5-6
Salt to taste

For Red Chutney:
Garlic 3-4
Tomato Paste ½ cup
Red Pepper Powder 1 tsp
Salt to taste
For Garnishing:
Yogurt ½ kg
Chaat Masala 1 tsp

Soak White lentils with baking soda over night. Grind it ina chopper.
Now mix garlic paste, cumin and salt.
Now heat oil in a pan and grease your hands as well.
Now fry the batter like pakoras and remove it in aplate.
For Dahi Bara Masala:
Grind together Button red chilies, cumin seeds, black pepper, black salt and salt.
For Green Chutney:
Grind all together and make a fine paste
For Red Chutney:
Blend all together and make a fine paste
For assembling:
Beat yogurt and pour it in a deep bowl, add baras to it, add more yogurt and mix chutneys. Sprinkle dahi bara masala and chaat masala.
